Keri Ke Mahadev!

'Keri Ke Mahadev' is situated on the outskirts of the city of lakes, Bhopal. It is a great place for trekking. Its peacefulness is unmatched.

I went on a trek to 'Keri Ke Mahadev' in the month of September with a travel group called 'Let her Travel'. We left in the morning around 9:30 AM and had breakfast at CSB Kolar, Bhopal. We arrived at the destination at 12 noon. After entering the main gate, there is a one-way narrow path of 2-3 km. This road leads to a hill with a scenic view all around. A variety of trees, insects, and butterflies can be spotted. The whole area is covered with grass and trees.

The view from the top of the hill was mesmerizing. The hills were fully covered with colorful trees as far as can be seen. Some of the trees had orange leaves, ready to embark on the fall while some were still green reminding of summer. Every shade of green and orange was seen with the sky withholding different hues of blue. It seemed like a color palette of an artist ready to paint a perfect picture. It was a perfect blend of colors, a treat to the eyes.

The trek to the waterfall was about 500-600 m down the hill. It was rocky and had little streams of water running down the rocks. We could hear the sound of the waterfall while descending the rocks. After which we finally saw the waterfall. It was so beautiful that I couldn't take my eyes off it for a few minutes. We enjoyed dipping our feet into the water and had a lot of fun. Water was as clear as crystal. When the sun shone over the waterfall, it felt like beads were falling from the hill into the water. The view was spellbinding. I would have captured it if I could.

The weather was perfect for a trek that day. We had snacks after returning from the waterfall. 'Let her Travel' made sure that everyone was safe and was having fun. They had some games planned in the bus for the way back to the city. It was a great experience.

A beautiful place to go and have fun with family and friends. I would love to visit 'Keri Ke Mahadev' again sometime!
